the enrolment conditions
Participation fee: (to be completed soon) including:
- participation in the event
- accommodation with a full board during the event
- guided workshops
- welcome kit
Participants will need to bring their own safety equipment: backpack, transceiver, shovel, probe and survival blanket are compulsory just as personal technical gear: helmet, crampons, ice axe, harness, sling (dynamic), carabiners, abseil device, headlamp etc. The event is supervised by qualified mountain guides for every participant’s safety.
The date of the event is fixed with weather windows. The hour of departure will be decided at the last moment depending on the conditions. Whereas the itinerary will be revealed upon arrival.
A handwritten letter will be required from each candidate expressing their motivation, experience and passion for ski mountaineering.
Each sentinel automatically becomes a member of the Back of Beyond association for the current year.
Members and volunteers will be covered by the association’s civil liability insurance during the event.
Although participants are strongly advised to hold their own insurance in case of an accident. A medical certificate less than 3 months old will be requested from each participant before departure.
A disclaimer of responsibility is signed by each participant during the enrolment.
