VALGRISENCHE, ITALY-FRANCE, 22-26 MARCH 2018
The Valgrisenche valley is one of the beautiful collaterals of the Aosta Valley.
It is known for its particularly cold and snowy winter conditions, a promised land for powder skiing.
At the very end of the valley is located the Rifugio Bezzi, at 2250 m above sea level. This comfortable mountain hut will host the event for 4 days and nights. The hut is accessible by a 2-hour hike on skis from the valley bottom. The enrolment fee includes accommodation with full board, an opportunity to savor the authentic Italian mountain gastronomy.
Given the long and committed character of the course, with more than 2,700 meters of vertical elevation, the participants must be committed practitioners of ski mountaineering. The itinerary is intersected with rewarding downhill sections and breathtaking summits to ease the effort.
Thursday 22 March 2018 :
Arrival at the meeting point at 10h. Hike on skis in a group to join the mountain hut. Welcome drink and presentation of the itinerary. Dinner.
Friday 23 – Sunday 25 March 2018 :
The program will be adapted according to the snow and weather conditions. The departure will be given when the conditions are optimal. To complete the itinerary in a loop will take from 12 to 15 hours of effort, intersected by beautiful downhills. The weather days will be animated by workshops and ski outings respecting the free spirit of La Sentinelle.
Monday 26 March 2018 :
The return to the valley bottom by an emblematic summit that offers a pure pleasure descent (an “effortless way down” is possible too).
